Unfortunately, after leaving a restaurant that was unwilling to substitute chili for meat on their nachos, we ended up trying to come here. All bartenders at this place are on spot! They have picnic Ive been waiting to return to Ketchikan to go to Burger Queen, and finally today I am back and this is one of my first stops. Their hours are limited, 4 p.m.-9 p.m. Tuesday-Saturday. It's something of a local legend. I understand this is a small town and there is a way you feel it's ok to treat the Locals and the Tourists. And she has done very good. People are so amazing and friendly , I had found here real friends . But for a disclaimer, the traditional kare-kare, which this restaurant didn't seem to follow, contains lots more ingredients that I don't actually eat. The chowder is a must-try since its in their name and is said to be the best seafood chowder in Alaska. We ordered a breakfast sandwich, a bowl of oatmeal, a simple pastry, and three drinks and we spent over $50! They also close completely for a couple of months during the winter.
