This would be true too if you didn't have a compressor kit and were filling the bags manually. I spoke to AirLift about additional steps you can take. I recommend everyone for SD truck, I have an air leak and I cant find it, do you have a replacement kit with the hoses and all the fittings? If this is the case relocating the ground and then, Airlift recommends using a keyed circuit that's only active when the ignition is turned on, as the system can activate if the vehicle moves (a strong wind could possibly do it) and possibly drain the battery. Alternatively, you can configure the system to adjust and monitor two pairs of air springs independently.

The air spring kit will have the connections needed so there are not additional parts required for that installation. I would recommend the Air Lift wireless - remote air compressor system, for anyone that has air bags and have to inflate them by hand. To set the manifold into join mode locate the yellow join wire. I would not tow max loads without them anymore. Simply make sure that all of the air lines are in good condition and there are no discernible issues with the connections. Generally this is an issue with the remote communicating with the system, a blockage, or a leak. Definitely recommend. I tow a 45 foot fifth wheel camper. When Im ready Im going to use them for my new truck. We have found that when the ground is installed this way that everything will work for a while and then over time with the vibration of the compressor it will cause the ground to go bad. As far as the installation, it was literally one of the easiest mods I have done on my truck. My first control valve leaked, and while Air Lift quickly sent me a new one it is having some issues. The install was fairly easy. look like it fell out of the truck. Way better than the first kit I had! When setting the air pressure in an air bag kit the idea is that you load it down and then inflate the air bags to the point the vehicle sits level again. The old remote also had a way to clip onto your visor and this one lacks any such function. I also recommend to test the wires from the compressor with 12 volts to see if the compressor runs. Although this system is fantastic and would love to give it a 5 star rating I have a couple issues that keep me from that. I tow a 32 foot travel trailer on weekends from April thru July. The constant adjusting of the air pressure with the temperature changes from day to night completely drained my truck battery.
Either way works and there aren't detrimental effects if you use one way over the other; it might be easier for the compressor to inflate the bags to 52 psi before you load the truck since you know this is the correct setting. I repainted some of the parts. I do have aftermarket lift blocks so it did take a lot of grinding/fitting to get the kit to fit right. I wired it directly to the battery and didn't have any problems until about a week ago.
If this does not work for you make sure to verify that all the connections are solid and plugged in and if the air bags already have the 5psi.
Sounds like either the compressor isn't getting a sufficient power or ground source when ran through all of the wiring and relays so you'll need to go over all of the wiring making sure all of the connections are solid.
I haul 2 tons of salt during the winter and this has drastically helped steering, and fully loaded, the truck rear stays level. Built-in digital air pressure gauges allow you to monitor each spring on your vehicle. Model 72000, I have given the unit testing with my camper and during the winter. I would inspect the compressor system and all of the air lines to make sure there are no issues. Since the Join process completed they suggested moving the ground wire on the compressor to its own isolated location. Otherwise, they stated that this message can sometimes occur if the check or. You can use the # AL74000 to add the air to your air bags before or after the trailer is loaded or the payload is added to the truck bed. The U bolt threads didnt run deep enough for a single frame wall mount so for $3, I bought steel spacers and after painting them inside and out for corrosion resistance, I mounted very easily for a customized no drill $3 option. Not too difficult to install. Their customer service is second to none. Would recommend this set up for anyone who uses their truck like a truck and would recommend these minor mods on the install.
