Versatility
The hose was the main reason I bought this item in the first place, so I was really bummed that it did not work well. This vacuum is very powerful.
Since I have had this vacuum I have only used it a handful of times.
There are two things I don't like about the vacuum.
The refusal of the hose to suck made me use another vacuum, which defeats the purpose of using the Dirt Devil. Do not pick up anything that is burning or smoking, such as cigarettes, matches, or hot ashes. That is so frustrating to me, and something I would definitely want Dirt Devil to work on. One of the biggest reasons I do not use it is because this little handheld vacuum is extremely loud.

I use it often for all of the stairs in our home. Easy to empty out, but it has the strangest belt design where it actually twists around.
It's great for the stairs because it is so light weight and easy to handle.

The other downside is this vacuum is INCREDIBLY loud. People are impressed by the size. If you ever have to change the belt it's rather tricky to get it on right, especially if the old one snapped so you can't see how it's supposed to go.
