The Viviva Colorsheets are a light, portable way to carry your paints. Without a good understanding of color theory and watercolor mixing, I fear this palette was too difficult for me to work with. With a pencil or marker, I have much more control of the medium than I do with traditional watercolors.
I found it easy enough to avoid once I was aware of the problem.
If you were holding the booklet, and got too much water in your mix, then it got messy. I really liked the sketchbook. The cover extends past the edge of the paper. Viviva Colorsheets come in a handy booklet with two colors to a page.

You can also purchase the Viviva Colorsheets on Amazon but they are slightly more expensive costing approximately 27, at least the ones I have been able to locate, so it is cheaper to purchase directly from the company website which I have of course linked to. I find it hard to control the amount of water and squeezing too much water onto the Viviva color chips created a mess. One of the main concerns I had about the Viviva Colorsheet Watercolors when I first opened them was the amount of paint that you would get or lack of paint.
You do need to take care not to get the color on your hands and clothing, and this can happen even before the paints are wet. 
The sketchbooks are supposed to come out on October 15th.
I do think that if another palette was available, the set would absolutely appeal to a wider group, artists in the same ability as myself. Looks like a fun product to try in a sketchbook where you dont have to worry too much about lightfastness. I havent found it yet but Im working on it. Its a little tighter than most, but just the perfect size for your Viviva Colorsheet booklet.
All 16 colors are presented in a reporter style notebook format, with an over all dimension of 7cm by 13.5cm and approximately 0.5cm thick which is incredible when you think about it.
This first painting was drawn first, with technical pen, and then painted with a waterbrush. In a 2017 review, the founder stated that the reds, yellows, and orange are lightfast and wont fade, but the magenta, violet and the blues will.
It comes as a separate piece with an adhesive backing that you stick to the booklet.

Im thinking it work great for me for Doodlewash sketches.
Soft, thick paper is often very absorbent, which means the paint wont flow well, colors are less bright, and sometimes the paper will come off in little pills, refuse to accept many layers of paint and may just turn muddy. Well, maybe.
So many people will only paint on cotton paper, or use transparent colors nothing wrong with that, but I think they miss out on some of the fun! Designed as a thin booklet to fit in your pocket, they are super pigmented and last about as long as a half pan set. I painted color first, using the wet-on-wet method.
Its recommended that you dont close the book while the paint is wet. However, I wouldnt have minded a wider range of colors, either. As I mentioned at the beginning of this article, I am not a proficient or professional watercolor artist, so I am only used to eyeballing half pans or full pans and seeing the amount of paint in them.

This is because in a regular half-pan set, a lot of binder is used to keep the color together. Nice review..I have the sheets and have tried them..I have not used on the road but they seemed to be for smaller sketches..I agree the colors are very similar so I need to practice mixing a bit more to see what happens.

Contrast of color is good, but you need contrast of value light to dark to help guide the eye. We'll go first. The paper handles both pen and paint well.
The book has an inner cover of a light non-watercolor paper and a glued binding. The paint color is different in many cases, shockingly different than the color of the dried dye chips. If you set it down with the cover folded back, it tilts the paper slightly. I plan to keep my booklet in it, and both will fit into the pocket of the sketchbook I received with my colorsheets.
This was why I ended up doing four different paintings and at the end of this I still didnt produce anything that was worthy of adding it to the review as a speed painting demonstration.

After trying to create four different botanical or Landscape paintings with the and struggling quite a bit with colors, I was only able to complete a semi decent Poppy. Somethings Missing! The paper curled a bit, but did not dimple or buckle.
It is worth mentioning that in the instruction section at the beginning of the Viviva watercolor pad, they make it very clear that the colorsheets may actually look different to when you activate the paint and use it, hence the reason they provide the section under each square to create your own swatch.

Surprise! As always, I have to be 100% honest with you and tell you, when I first got the sheets I was very dubious about the product.

I found the Blues to be so very dark and trying to lighten them without a lighter color such as white, was above my expertise as a watercolor painter.
