Do I need to add a bit more thinner as well ? Also, a little goes a long way. I am curious if other modelers are noticing the same thing or not. I've found that it does very quickly pick up a sheen from handling, so I wonder if that's what some people might consider "soft" Just did some quick and dirty compatibility testing, and the stuff is completely incompatible with either isopropyl or ethyl alcohol. I've airbrushed Vallejo a number of times after thinning it with distilled water as recommended by the mnanufacturer.
I think the small bottle I am using is the old sticky stuff. I tried the same mix on PS289 0.3mm airbrush, however the result is not as good with lots of spattering. Exactly what Vallejo says, works. I mentioned that I had a fantastic thinner mixture to prevent tip dry. I hope that I am making sense. 
To what VOLUME of water and Golden's do you add a couple of drops of Future? But I have "Mix" ready for the future. But I am not sure. But I live with roommates so eventually I decided to give them another try. So,I tried this out today..and it worked good. I have put the paint on thick or thin and I'm getting a very nice finish. The Vallejo website says you can use distilled watertheir instructions specify it. Too spendy for what you get, and there are better products to thin with both for brush painting and airbrushing. So I made a bottle of "mix" but unfortunately I had to head back to work early and thus never had a chance to play! Cosolvents are just another tool in the box, like using an adjustable crescent wrench instead of one the exact size. Another excellent choice for Airbrushing Models is Tamiya Mini Acrylics which suitable for airbrush and brush techniques and available in Gloss and Matt/Flat colours. Also I'm getting what I want with my Badger Anthem and not even using my Patriot. I will for sure try this out.
