I've stayed in some pits but this hotel topped the cake, My wife and I decided on a Saturday morning to take a road trip well we wound up in Laughlin Nevada on our way up we booked our room over the phone with Priceline which by the way also sucks well we decided to try the Tropicana hotel wrong move on our part so we get to the hotel and enter into what smelled like smelly feet and old alcohol with a touch Brute cologne the smell came and went while we waited on a check in line 20 people deep the girls and one guy behind the counter never once smiled at the people checking in never apologized for the wait and seemed as if life sucked for them we get to the counter and we weren't greeted or smiled at it, it was just, "hello I need your Id" the woman the asked if I'd like to add a person to the room and looked directly at my wife which, kinda insulted my wife and I no biggy just wierd how she looked at her we get our keys and they didn't work so I went back to the desk to wait once again ugh we got in the room finally checked it out and went back down stairs to the only restaurant that was open and had what looked like a pile of left overs on stale chips "Super nachos" yeah ok so we started our adventure into the casino and there's that smell again I'm think wtf is it it comes and goes I'm getting thirsty so I turn and turn and turn no waitress so I hit the bar for a beer $8 a pop jack and coke $10 free drinks my butt it cost me and arm and one leg to catch a buzz along with a nicotine head ache I don't smoke my wife was complaining she had one too now its dinner at another restaurant on site which by then the wife and I are no longer happy campers the slot machines didn't pay worth hitting the button you watch the show Alice well the waitress treated us like truckers with a voucher our food came I told the wife we should have hit in and out burger to get a better meal the food was could and old ok so back to the slots which never loosened up at all so now it's two in the morning and we are miserable we searched high and low for some kinda fun in this place we decided to retire to our room we open our door and I hit the John and notice a wet towel on the sink counter our shower was wet our TV was off and the bed looked sat on ok so we get thru it and get in bed 2 minutes in my legs start itching like I laid in a bed of fire aunt's my wife starts wheezing and her azma starts kicking in well by five thirty my legs are on fire she's sucking on her inhaler well we never slept at about 8am this rude lady starts banging on our door jiggling our door handle yelling hello hello are you in there I open the door and it's an old retired maid from the sixty's that's lost her mind and has made it 22nd floor cart and all I told her that check out is at noon for us she seemed agitated and she sped of with her cart while Julie is showering I'm looking around for our misplaced items before we leave and omg under the bed was enough dust to choke an elephant dog hair dog food and what appeared to be a pair of ripped up women's under garment or who knows I didn't touch it but that explains my wife's azma attack and my itch legs and stuffed up nose well enough is enough right? Casino tower has less kids and probably the better views. I was informed the manager would call me back in an hour but never called. Second room wasn't as bad, but still not sure if it had been cleaned properly.

That said, the king size bed was very comfortable, the room was clean and the a/c was quite and worked well. There are 6 restaurants and 2 coffee shops/cafes, as well as a snack bar/deli. The 27-acre resort features 1,487 rooms, slots, table games, bingo room, casino bars, restaurants, meeting, wedding and convention space, an entertainment Pavilion, bar/lounge with nightly entertainment, pool, cabanas and a giant 140 inch pool-side big screen.
Food was palatable but overpriced for a casino, Staff was not very friendly, especially at the front desk. Minimal contact with hotel personnel and other guests. Poolside Cafe - This caf specializes in American cuisine and serves light fare only. Even the room walls and doors were filthy.
