In my quest for that perfect pandemic lip balm :-), I discovered these fantastic lip stains from Clarins, and though these are not new releases, I find that these are perfect lip products to use for constant virtual meetings. The Berry scent is the newest addition to the Balm Dotcom family, and I purchased this scent at the same time as the birthday balm, during Glossiers Black Friday sale.
The Supergoop Play is also available in Mint, though we didnt test it; this one is untinted, so its a good choice if youre more concerned about hydration than aesthetics.

Testers were wowed by the chic packaging that makes it feel as much like date-night lipstick as an everyday lip balm. It coats your lips with a thin, waxy layer that lasts all day. Unlike some other stick balms we tested, which have either an in-your-face scent (our Blistex and Burts Bees picks) or none at all (the ChapStick Lip Moisturizer), the Fresh balms walk a fine line of pleasant but not overwhelming. Glossier has since apologized for its lack of support and released a list of policies it plans to enact to create a safer work environment for employees. Its thick and feels waxier than Vaseline, nor is it greasy and slippery like Vaseline. I definitely recommend that you try the products above if you havent already. Bottom line, I love Glossier skincare products and I love that they try to be on trend and innovative with their stuff. (One tube of the Fresh contains 0.15 ounces versus the Supergoops 0.5 ounces.) Most of our testers didnt like the especially slick feel of Vaseline Lip Therapy Advanced Healing, or the round shape of its applicator tip.

I use Dr. Lipp Miracle Balm and it is $16 for a small but long lasting tube of medical grade lanolin balm. I do think the addition of lanolin and beeswax helps the formula feel rich andemollient, but whether this is a must-have for you depends on what you consider your budget for lip care products to be. Like: light-mauve in real life, like a light version of the Jam shade below.

The Supergoop Play Lip Balm feels slick and moisturizing on your lips.
Its what we refer to as the big guns. Australians call yellow papaya papaw, thus the name, and according to the company, the ointments fermented papaya concentrate is a natural antiseptic that helps heal irritated skin. I cant see it on my pigmented lips, but I imagine that this will show a light tint on lips that have little natural colour. Each of the balms have a slightly differing ingredients list, but the main ingredients are petrolatum, castor seed oil, beeswax, and cupuacu fruit extract.

Several lip balms didnt make the cut because of overpowering or unpleasant smells: Carmex Original Lip Balm with Broad Spectrum SPF 15 and Natural Ice Original SPF 15 were too medicinal, and Blistex Deep Renewal Lip Protectant/Sunscreen was too sweet (and didnt keep our lips hydrated for very long). These lip stains do feel like water and have fruity scents.
My skin is both dry and sensitive, so when it comes to hitting it with retinol, Ive been cautioned to, Raise your hand if Peach & Lilys Glass Skin serum rings a bell it should, because its pretty amazing stuff. Really enjoyed your review of these balmsso thorough! Both are great choices!
Speaking of new year, here are my new Glossier skincare haul.
Before trying this, I had been a bit hesitant to try these because I heard they were just overpriced Vaseline in cute packaging, but I find the consistency to be very different to Vaseline. These Clarins Water Lip Stain are probably some of the best lip stains I have ever tried, and I have tried my luck on several staining lip products before, but I always end up getting disappointed. I'm personally someone who really really loves petroleum jelly based lip balms so even though it's $12.00 for 0.5 oz, I had to try it anyway.
Today I have a review of the EM Cosmetics True Glosses in Magic Hour and Secret Blush . In this review, I swatched all the new Glossier Generation G colors.
Its greasier than some other lip balms we tried, so you may need to wipe your hands if you apply too much.
