Top class meal and service. Pommes, Steak und Pfeffersauce sollte man dort gegessen haben. The food was good, perhaps a few steaks over cooked but perhaps because of being a large order. As well as that he comes in every day and bakes the bread, makes the sauces and the ice-cream etc for the restaurant. I had a 10oz rib eye and you just couldn't get much better than it, such a beautiful place food's amazing staff very efficient and friendly was der on d 15 October a party of 11 everyone enjoyed der meal highly recommended.

I went here for my 30th 4 years ago and knew it would be brill but it was even better than l thought l would highly recommend this restaurant x. They also do a lovely herb crusted rack of new season lamb with red wine and rosemary jus and Duck Armagnac which is with a nectarine and Brandy sauce which is to die for. Service top notch had no booking but our table of 4 was accommodated. Such a nice place for a romantic dinner. Tasty local fish prepared with hearty sauces.
The waiting staff are very down to earth and efficient. Beautiful lunch fabulous mussels and crab sandwich, Hasn't changed in 20 years but still a warm atmosphere and fantastic food in a beautiful location. Food could've can came bit faster, Couldn't fault it excellent service and value., 1st class experience from 1st bite (gorgeous brown bread) would recommend that you don't combine breaded mussels starter with seafood platter as platter also contains a generous portion of mussells super chilled evening combined with relaxing ambiance will definitely return and recommend to othets. The food was scrum-diddlee-umptious. everything looked amazing on the menu and possibly had too tough a time trying to select just one starter and main! Ribeye steak was divine!
Absolutely beautiful location with a super new addition to increase space. Service was 100% We went for the early bird sitting at 5.30pm. this is a must ! Location is exceptional, views from the outdoor area are worth experiencing on a sunny day. It's a beautiful drive from Cork and if it's nice out sitting on the cover patio with a spectacular view is perfect! Every single dish (seriously) Be sure to try the lamb. The room is freezing in the winter. It was taken over in 1978 by Philip and Joss Horgan who ran a tight ship in the most welcoming and hospitabl way. Now, after 40 years in the biz, they handed over the reins to their son Daniel, who has cheffed in the coolest places in London and brought this fresh vibe home to Man Friday. SM.10 Just didn't like the fact that the waitress laughed when she asked who ordered a blue steak (that she called rare). Just eaten a wonderful meal served by lovely staff. (Translated) It is an incredible place, in truth that each dish is delicious, the menu is varied, it is not so cheap ( 31 three times or 27 two times), but it is really worth it, the view is incredible, you can see Kinsale and the restaurant have a cozy touch, plus the service is very good.
Thank you, Fabulous menu. Service was excellent and wait staff were so courteous and helpful!! I had a beer, which was also really good. I had the fish pie for main course, it was delicious. Children menu was quite big! The food is delicious and consistent, so at the end, you've had enough which is a really important point I think.

A fantastic meal served by very friendly staff. The locals love it very much. Great value for Kinsale too. It has a great location overlooking Kinsales stunning inner harbour. Food did not come out at the same time, at dessert some of us were finished before all were served. Great food, great service! The lady at the till was borderline rude when we said we wanted to pay separately (we divided the total amount equally, so nothing complicated). Perfect in every way. Pricing ok too. Prompt friendly service, Best restaurant in kinsale from a local perspective. Don't leave without one! Ate here before several times and food always top notch. Cinema and selected restaurants are open later. Surroundings /decor, Had a few things from the takeaway menu, the burgers are delicious, the Shanghai wings are beautiful and the truffle mayo . Highly recommended. You can follow up, if you have room, with maybe flourless chocolate torte with West Cork cream and salted caramel, or sticky toffee pudding with vanilla icecream. Very expensive a hake dish came with a few leaves of spinach the rack of lamb was beautiful but again it had just two or three sprigs of brockley. Very tasty! No complaints at all. The waiting staff were very helpful and patient as we had a number of children with us. Very pleasant visit. And plenty of space between us and the next table. The restaurant was fully booked but we were very comfortable in the outdoor terrace with log fire and heaters. It was our first visit and most definitely not our last as we will be returning. It's a bit pricey, it's a special treat., Great vegan option and lovely atmosphere,with a great beautiful view over the harbour! Would definitely recommend. They served complimentary bread and butter. We hadn't reserved a table but they got us one made up really quickly, it was my first time trying oysters, they were amazing! Man Friday may please you with good oysters, hake and belly pork. Plenty of space, great background music and atmosphere. i had the sirloin steak with hand cut fries. Great experience and meal!
