There really wasn't anything that I didn't like. The only thing that can be done about it is to have one more row of palapas or plant palm trees at the beach, this way everyone can enjoy shade. I did not enjoy the fact that I had to get up early and hunt for chairs every day of my stay.In fact, I can only recommend this resort, if the beach and pool situation will be resolved. Additional charge, Darts, Windsurfing, Ping-pong, Pool table, Playground, Fishing I get that they have to make a living but I found it bothersome.The Cigar Guy (name escapes me now) can be found in the lounge every night. Each property has implemented the industry's latest Infection Spread Prevention (POSI) audit solution through POSI verification from Cristal International Standards. 
My wife was not feeling well one night, so I took a few other women over to the resort next door called the Excellence (Snuck in via the beach) and went to their nightclub. The "reserving " of a palapa was a joke. animals are kind of like a dog in the sense of they will smell it and they will come! Free private parking is available on site (reservation is not needed)., Accessible parking, Parking garage, Secure parking, Outdoor furniture, Beachfront, Sun deck, Private beach area, Terrace, Shuttle service, Pet bowls, Pet basket, Shared lounge/TV area, Shuttle service (additional charge), Designated smoking area, Air conditioning, Smoke-free property, Shops (on site), Car rental, Chapel/Shrine, Gift shop, VIP room facilities, Hair/Beauty salon, Facilities for disabled guests, Non-smoking rooms, Room service. We would have breakfast and a tour to see what we thought. I would strongly recommend this for several reasons, a reserved section at the beach, free wireless and internet, and adult pool. We were told that two cots was against hotel policy so we could only get one cot. Several people had recommended going down with $1 an $5 dollar bills for tips and that was what we did. It's fine (and expected) if you go to the market but a bit presumptuous if the market comes to you. We booked a junior suite for a family of four - one king sized bed and two cots. Buffet was ok. Crepe station was awesome. Regarding your comment about the palapas, we understand your point, in the swimming rulers there is stated where is not permitted to separate the beach chairs with belongings, we inform to the guests to avoid this practice, fortunately guests respect this rule.Once again thank you for your observation, this will help us review our service standards so that we may improve upon our commitment of providing quality service.

What I really liked is the schedule of activities they brought to each of the rooms, this way people could choose in advance. 24-hour room service is also available.
Booking a pool bed/cabana was ridiculous.
Now Sapphire offers a variety of outdoor activities, including beach and pool aerobics, tennis, eurobungee or watersports(non motorized). The next day he stopped me in the hall (the guys name was Miguel) and asked if I would go. Service was top notch by staff everywhere. All rights reserved. Ambiance was cool with nice decor. 
The adults only pool was fantastic and I can't wait to go back to the spa again! I called and was told that they were just about to prepare my hamburger - nothing fancy, just a burger. Our safe was broke and needed to be repaired. The food and drinks were always available.The pool bar was fabulous!Staff very helpful.The beds are to die for.Would totally recommend.Everything you need is there.Also I would recommend the tour. Certain services and amenities may be reduced or unavailable as a result. After I read it it, I said forget it. I and my family have just recently arrived home from a holiday that I can safley say was one of my top holidays we have enjoyed for years and I can say this with confidence as I and my family have traveled to many countries around the world and this hotel tops the lot.I and my family unfortuately only stayed for a week which I now regret. The best of all is the restaurant and pool Staff, they are SO nice and always trying to spoil you, and make you feel like home. No apology - just a hang up.The Concierge Area (a few desks with tour operators and Concierge) needs lots of work. People who were not in the preferred club would have to get up a 6a and put something on the chair to reserve it.

Guests constantly fight over the beach and pool chairs. Like I said before, 10 bucks will get you anything you want. I traveled with two seniors, and they offered wheelchair on the booking process, once there they told us that golf carts will be available to transport them instead of the wheelchair. The second time the service wasn't as good. Your observations about the food, it was addressed direct to the Food & Beverage Manager. Best price guarantee on our site. Can't wait until next year! However my daughter was a bit bored, but I think it is just her, since she cannot sit still. Did not get our money's worth for the extra prefered upgrade. They also made a big deal about photocopying a passport for me. This is one restaurant that needs improvement, If you go, skip it, the buffet is better.-The entertainment was above average for a resort, and the entertainment team works hard at all of the shows. That way, when they run out at noon, you'll still have some. I cant praise this hotel enough you see it for yourself If you are planning a trip to the Now Sapphire Riveriera you will not be dissappointed.This hotel ticked all the boxes for myself and family WELL DONE STAFF. Since the day I went to talk to them, the cart service was even worse. No Reservations at restaurants long wait times, Breakfast Buffet had food shortages all the time, and the variety was very limited, I wish there was a bit more to do on the resort outside of excursion but it's definitely a place to go if you just want to relax. That was worth the price of admission for us. An hour later no one showed up. The French Restaurant was the best. It is a joke. And by pretty lame, I mean completely weak. And they had to walk even under the rain. I loved the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. I wish they had a place where you can get real Mexican food, none of the restaurants had it which made me sad since it's Mexico after all and I had been looking forward to that part of my trip. The first days the service was excellent, from day 3 the service was awful, sometimes they had to wait 15 or 20 minutes, and some days the cart never showed. The staff is very friendly and another thing I really liked is that the hotels roof is made out of palms which make it really fresh and comfortable especially when the weather is really hot.
This is in comparison to the Riu and Iberostar properties I've visited all over Cancun and Los Cabos. I said OK. That was until I read the form he wanted me to sign which was for a vacation club, which is like a time share. Guests are required to show a photo ID and credit card upon check-in. Wow! They sit there everyday, see the same buses pull up at the same time, but somehow plead ignorance when asked a question. I loved the whole experience and resort so am very excited to go back. Additional charge, Daily housekeeping, Suit press Pets are allowed on request. Very clean. There are also several outdoor bars and lounges, and live entertainment. He helped sort it out and managed without getting frustrated despite some back and forth decisions we had. Real waste of time. Ask about where to catch a bus.
There is a little cafe that opens at 6am for early risers. Book here and avoid any surprises at your arrival to Dreams Sapphire Resort & Spa. The Kids Club got full so if you need to drop your kids off sign them up first thing in the morning. Who wants to make a commitment to anything when you haven't even seen the room.

The staff is friendly and take good care of kids.-Drinks are weak, but I don't think it should be a problem at the resort, no one wants drunk, sun stroked people at the pool! The buffet food was average - some nights were better than others. There are 2 African Grey parrots named Poncho and Maria. No kids, good looking people and good music. While in pool there are not many places to get real food other than the barefoot grill which served same thing daily and the burgers were not real beef. The online app for activities and general details was helpful. You'll be treated like crap but part of the all inclusive price you pay goes towards gratuities. Limited dining options bc restaurants not open daily. There is a nightclub, but do not be fooled. Prices are per person, per night, based on double occupancy (two adults) and are subject to availability and may change without notice. There is plenty of chairs at the beach and the pool, but not enough shade. Service at the breakfast and lunch buffets was just ok.* Kids club is nice. Our overall experience was nice and our kids had a good time. We didn't know much about the resort other than what we've researched online and overall we were pleased with our decision to stay here.Like mentioned in previous reviews, the resort is lovely, very clean and spacious. Love the Preferred Club Pool. -The restaurants were good, with good food and service. Why not be honest about it? Guests can choose from a range of cuisines at one of the resort's 6 restaurants, including Mexican, French, Pan-Asian, Mediterranean, Seafood and fine steaks or an international buffet. Beautiful beach. The entertainment team was also not after people to participate, as it is a case in some other resorts.-The Explorer's club for kids was good, also many activities to choose from throughout the day. Free! Very disappointing that they falsely advertised that. It was bustling with activity but not overly wild. I found it funny that the front desk couldn't break a 20 for me - they could only offer me peso's or they suggested I ask a busboy to change the money. Upgrade to the Preferred Club and take advantage of your select status. If you asked anyone a question about something that they were not familiar with they'd look at you with a blank stare - they wouldn't offer a suggestion or an alternative - just a blank stare. The patio door wouldn't close all the way when locked (you could see light coming through).
This happened atleast twice, during our 5-night stay, with other restaurants. The hotel is very clean, house keeping was great. It was just for a "survey" he didn't even need to see it. It was nice to have them there because I got some great stuff to bring home like a lamp and a nameplate necklace but I found myself going all the way around that area of the hotel to avoid them because of the pushiness and the pressure. Regarding your comment about the beach chairs, I would like to comment that a month ago, we received more beach chairs for the pools and beach. If there is a need to get drunk, there is scotch, vodka and tequila in abundance at the resort.-Coffee shop was a big plus too, and they had good coffee and coffee drinks, definately better than Starbucks.-Another cool feature is room service, and we took advantage of it more than once, the menu is somewhat limited, but has the basics.The resort is definately well run, so thank you to the management and the staff for doing such a good job!Now, there is big problem that needs to be fixed as soon as possible!
