When planning to repair a rip in a memory foam mattress, look for a spray adhesive thats compatible with open cell foams, such as 3M Super 77 Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. It doesnt matter if you use the liquid or the gel variant of contact cement. For simply light installations in props and costumes I buy a bunch of cheap LEDs on Ebay, though I also like my local emergency electronic store conrad.de. :).
Hi all, been working on foam builds and the usual "super glue" is not working when joining 2 pieces of EVA foam together. Im using LEDs quite frequently for my projects. Im using them for all of my hand painted projects and just love their quality. 
The short answer is yes, but it will be a lot harder to get a strong bond without any gaps.

So it will weaken every time the foam is bent or deformed. I just use a small piece of foam to apply myself! The glued parts will be squished and have to endure a lot of strain, so there arent a lot of glues, that checks all of these boxes.

I am currently using KWIK GRIP Contact Adhesive - direct from Bunnings. You can check outFoam-Mart in Los Angeles or TNT Cosplay foam which I heard is supposed to be very good but I cant really vouch for that. I still use hot glue gun but have little kids around and can't work with it when they are around (which is often). Itgives youmore control with your tools and you dont make mistakes that easy. You can buy a Hot Glue Gun with several Glue sticks right here on Amazon. So gluing fabric to EVA Foam can seem quite complicated and Contact Cement is defiantly not the way to go. Throw away if the cement begins to set up in the container, Cures in 5-10 minutes, but EVA foam may require a second coat due to its tendency to absorb materials.
